Posted March 10, 2026: Clean Truck Check program requirements are in effect for subject vehicles, including vehicles registered outside of California when operating in the state, to report, pay an annual compliance fee, and submit required passing emissions tests.
To perform most California DMV transactions, your vehicle must be in compliance with Clean Truck Check AND have NO tests due or fees due within 90 days prior to your CTC compliance deadline and have no open CARB enforcement actions.
