June 2026 Update
Mobile monitoring for SMMI successfully completed in March 2026, capturing nearly 10 billion air quality measurements across California over nine months. CARB is now conducting a comprehensive, multi‑stage review of this large dataset to ensure the results are accurate, clearly explained, and easy for the public to use.
When the rollout schedule for data products and public visualizations is finalized, CARB will post updates on the SMMI webpage and share notifications through the Community Air email listserv.
